The disabled can do many things like their rivals.

At the Wildflour, a catering company near Washington, D.C. many kinds of people with disabilities are together here and they have been trained to do the kitchen work.

Alberto Sangiorgio , the Wildflour’s general manager remarks that they work around the tables two to three months for each procedure and can do as good as the normal such as washing and cutting things. It takes around four to five years to do that at the end of the process. These people who look like the disabled can work at any restaurants or any places like anybody else after being trained.

Such employees are usually from 22-60 of age whose minimum wage is 7.50 USD an hour with the time off for illness and vacation.

Fernanda Rodriguez, one of the trainers of Wildflour let them know how to pack buscuits tells she thinks that these employees teach her more than she teaches them. She also says “They are very positive, affectionate and happy all the time.

Paul Miller has been a chef here for six years said that he and all of his friends love coming to work and love all their co-workers. They all here can work so great that you may won’t believe.

Veronique Keefe whose her son works here says “My son is much calmer, happier and more energetic and he is also very happy with others working here, so here is a super place for him.


While John Stephens with Down syndrome has been with Wildflour since 2008 says that the place has been kind to him everything and it can to make sure he can have a steady life. He also says that he wants to be and actor and when the dream comes true he has strong confidence he can act as a good chef.
